A stay-at-home mother (with a Master's in Public Administration), was challenged with teaching her baby boy, who displayed gifted abilities early on. She took on the challenge, in good spirits and in love, and began implementing and developing different at-home early learning techniques. One of which were videos she created that included her voice. Well as the story goes, her son was reading, yes reading, at 1 years old! Before turning 2 he had surpassed many learning and developmental milestones, as in, speaking in phrases and short sentences, counting past 25 (in both English and Spanish), and reading level 1 books (in their entirety), just to name a few. As for alphabets, shapes, and colors, well he was correctly identifying those by 8 months...
She largely attributes her sons success to the videos she created for him, "It was like he was captivated by my voice...I didn't know what I was doing really, so the videos were really simple. If you ask me, not very visually appealing either, but my voice held his attention." "He would watch the same 7 minute video on repeat for at least 15-20 minutes straight."
