Enrichment Programs & Project

Our goal is to cultivate equity in education, ensuring every child has access to resources and opportunities that benefit their developmental and educational needs.

Program Mission

Our mission is to introduce missing educational and enrichment components back into the school systems of underrepresented and underserved children and youth, of Chicago’s South Side and South Suburban area.  We have set out to provide innovative educational curriculum, tools, resources, services, and support (that directly impact) underrepresented and underserved children and youth in the areas of pre-primary gifted and accelerated education, informal STEM learning opportunities, and financial literacy, business professionalism, and entrepreneurship through YFS NFP.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS & PROJECTSS

Our enrichment programs serve learning littles 3 months-5 years of age, that reside in the South Suburbs of Chicago, where there is a need for innovative alternative education options for novice, talented, gifted and/or accelerated learners.  Our primary project objective is to provide opportunities for alternative methods of education for gifted and accelerated learners under the age of 5 years, in an area were such education is non-existent.  In an effort to develop the perfect curriculum for our program we have partnered with several early childhood education professionals and providers such as; Patricia Mitchell of Yes I Can- Learning and Development and Wanikka Vance Foundations 4AdVANCEment.

Our programs are integrated into the early learning community through community relationships and partnerships with family centered organizations, child care providers, and early childhood educators.

Our existing enrichment programs focus on the areas of math readiness, reading readiness, dual language immersion, and more.

Enrichment programs are typically implemented via integration into existing programs, by way of 60-120 minute enrichment sessions offered 2-3 days per week at participating sites.  We also provide enrichment learning by way of specialized immersion events.  During such events we transform spaces into wonderful enchanting learning spaces where learning littles are literally immersed floor to ceiling in a particular subject, topic, or theme.
